I recently caught a video interview with John Lennon's first group, the Quarrymen, and one of them touted Lennon's anti-war vision, noting that he wouldn't be pleased with Donald Trump.
So someone on the YouTube site commented on the interview, saying, "What war has Trump started?"
Let me tell you:
A war on U.S. citizens and those hoping to become citizens, that's what. A war on other cultures. A war against our country's racial minorities. A war against a variety of religions. A war against women. A war against teachers. A war against senior citizens. A war against those with pre-existing conditions. A war on the sick and mentally ill. A war against those who don't support the president or his party, from everyday citizens to officials from blue states. A war on the rule of law--and appointing judges on many levels who will send us back to the Dark Ages. A war on those who love someone of the same gender. A war on decency and kindness. A war on democracy at home, around the world and against those fighting dictatorships. A war on America's decades-long allies. A war on the environment. A war on those who see the climate crisis picking up speed. A war on scientists and doctors. A war against the U.S. intelligence and military community. A war on journalists and broadcasters. A war on students struggling to pay their education costs. A war against the arts.
If these aren't enough reasons to negate a vote for Donald Trump for President of the United States, you have not done your homework. Please don't let the Trump clowns win. Vote for Joe Biden and Kamala Harris.
