It's been hard to sleep--I lie awake for what seems like hours, thinking about not having a job and of the business calls I'll be making the next day. It's no revelation to say that insurance companies constantly overcharge, and it drains my energy to be on the phone trying to work things out. They like it that way.
How's this for sad? I recently emailed two computer techs from my previous job, which I lost in May. I wanted just a few details about the computer system I used to work on--perhaps if I could work that info into my resume, it would be stronger. I didn't hear from them, which was puzzling.
A few days later, I found out that three computer techs where I used to work lost their jobs last October--including the duo I tried to email.
