Such was the case earlier in 2010 when my awful Seattle Mariners were playing ball in Texas in a day game against the Rangers. Seattle's Rick Rizzs did a live spot for a national beer company, ending his spiel with, "get yourself one now." Whomever programmed that ad to air around 1:15pm Central Time forgot that the announcer would be inviting his west coast audience to grab a beer at 11:15am.
So it was a good laugh to hear some commotion in the background, and then Rizzs kind of sheepishly ad-lib, "Uh...maybe you should wait a couple of hours and then get
yourself one."
